Like all of our fine art prints, it is printed on a specialist, 12-colour Giclee printer which ensures accurate detailed colour reproduction, deep blacks and light-fast inks that protect your print from fading. We use the very best materials and would expect my images to look stunning for more than a hundred years, as they will not fade in our lifetimes. The studio Certificate of Authenticity is attached. Andrew Conway-Hyde Artist and Photographer

As an abstract painter, my practice has been a confluence of inspiration; from Impressionism to Minimalism and the colour field work of the Abstract Expressionists. In developing my own approach to capturing the nuances of nature, I took from these experimental plays of line, colour, and expression to develop my own interpretations of the world around us. Here, `L’heure bleue” was born. An exploration into impermanence, these works captured the liminal space between two places, times, and even thoughts. Expanses of colour and dynamic lines allow me to expose the inherent tensions within our landscapes; where the sky meets the earth, where the tides meet the shore, and so on. These ephemeral moments were captured in a single image.

While these scenes of natural beauty consumed much of my early work, I began to evolve my practice to capture less tangible notions into a visual vocabulary. Investigations into the human psyche began to be encapsulated within the pattern and colour of my immersive works. The seas and skies gave way to introspective spaces where individuals could escape and find solace from their struggles and traumas in our modern world. These pieces unearthed a calming sanctuary from the turmoil of every day, seeking order within the chaos that is life.

In a style I term abstract reductionism, I translate the complexities of these topics into minimalist physical forms that allow each viewer to digest these subjects through their unique lens. The works are inviting, and complex yet not overwhelming to the senses. Warm and cool tones, the weight and movement of lines, as well as patterns and rhythms, undergo a metamorphosis into a set of visual harmonies. In a deeply psychological experience, I mesmerise viewers as they embark on a journey of self-reflection and catharsis.

In the most recent phase of my work, I challenge the boundaries of my abstract reductionist approach. Manipulations of colour and line transform the seemingly two-dimensionality of each piece so that they vibrate with visceral energies, instilling an unpredictable sense of movement and reflection. In a continuation of my pursuit of visual harmony, these works engage a layered density of colour, retaining the hue’s structure, and line acting as light beans, to achieve a new sense of order. While my work is constructed with hand-mixed pigments painted onto wood panels, the latest evolutions of my practice incorporate a laminating compound. Their glow and sheen add unforeseen experiential depths to these works as they glow in both the daylight and the darkness. Subtleties hidden within each image reveal themselves, forcing audiences to question what lies beneath, what can’t we see, and what we often miss in our initial encounters.
